About
Breaking the spiral, together
Outspiral exists because rejection sensitivity deserves better tools than “just don't take it personally.”
Our mission
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria affects millions of people with ADHD, yet there are almost no tools designed specifically for it. Generic meditation apps don't address the amygdala hijack. Mood trackers don't capture the specific shape of an RSD episode. Therapy is invaluable but unavailable at 2 AM when the spiral hits.
Outspiral is built to fill that gap: a purpose-built companion for people who experience rejection more intensely than most. We combine crisis intervention, structured journaling, and pattern analysis to help you understand and navigate your emotional landscape.
Why “Outspiral”?
When rejection hits, it feels like falling into a spiral: thoughts feeding on themselves, emotions intensifying, the world narrowing to a single point of pain. The name Outspiral captures what we want to help you do: break free from that downward spiral.
Out-spiral. Not suppressing the feeling. Not pretending it doesn't exist. But finding a path out, with the right tools at the right moment, so you can come back to yourself.
Our approach
Outspiral is a self-support tool, not a medical device. We don't diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional treatment. What we do is give you science-backed tools that complement therapy and help you build self-awareness between sessions.
Every feature is informed by research in ADHD neuroscience, emotional regulation, and rejection sensitivity. The SOS flow is structured around the neuroscience of amygdala activation. The Episode Journal captures data points that matter for RSD specifically. Pattern Intelligence looks for the connections that are hard to see in the moment.
Outspiral is a self-support tool designed to help you understand and navigate rejection sensitivity. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or replacement for professional therapy, counseling, or psychiatric treatment. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Informed by research
Outspiral's approach is shaped by leading researchers in ADHD, rejection sensitivity, and emotional processing.
RSD Expert

ADHD Research
Dr. Russell Barkley
Leading ADHD researcher whose work on executive function and emotional dysregulation shapes our understanding of why rejection sensitivity and ADHD so often co-occur.
Sensitivity Research
Dr. Elaine Aron
